During the IFTF Boerma Instituut organises the competition 'Forever yours'
This year Boerma Instituut organises for the second time, in co-operation with the industry exhibition 'IFTF',
a challenging competition, to be held at the exhibition in the Expo Haarlemmermeer.
The competition will take place on Wednesday 2nd November, 2011, This
year's theme is 'Forever yours'. Of course 'live' material, blooms and
greenery must have the starring role, but can of course be combined
with interesting accessories of all sorts... in other words ... 'rise
to the challenge, and show your creativity'.
The firm Smithers-Oasis will provide a swinging heart (Oasis® Bioline® Mini Swing Heart) per person, the
heart form as such of must remain part of your composition. It is
compulsory to use the heart!
There are only 20 entries available, so register your participation as soon as
possible!
Three prizes are available to win: the first prize is our 5 day "Bridal work
Course" with a value of 1000 euros, or another of the Boerma Instituut's
courses of a similar value. The second and third prizes are a "
Surprise".
Of course, every participant will receive a Boerma Certificate of
Participation. Further information follows regarding the results &
prize awards.
This year there will also be a "Public's Award", voted by the general public. All visitors to our stand can
collect a voting form to award points.
There will also be an exhibition of all the heart arrangement entries, so that all visitors to the Expo can enjoy
your creations! The competition is open to every one to take part, you don't have to be an ex student of the
Boerma Instituut!
The competition arrangements can be viewed during the IFTF exhibition from 2nd to 4th of November in the
Expo Haarlemmermeer.
Further information about the competition can be obtained from:

If you have any comments or useful suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
The names of participants (together with any applicable websites & links) will be listed on the website of the
Boerma Instituut.
and finally...
Whilst participation in the competition is free of charge, it's not without obligation! If you submit written
entry, we of course expect to see you with your composition, this way we avoid disappointment to others
who might want to enter, and there will be no "empty places" on display.
Enjoy the challenge, and create something beautiful!

IFTF Expo ready to expand!
Vijfhuizen, May 2, 2011. Exactly six months before the
opening of the second edition of the International Floriculture Trade
Exhibition (IFTF), which will be held in Expo Haarlemmermeer, the 3
current available halls are fully booked. Not counting the 7 small
stands still being available, the organisers are ready to expand,
according to Dick van Raamsdonk, Managing Director of HPP Exhibitions in
Amsterdam.
With this "Full House", the expectations of the organisers have come
true to a full extent, who predicted last year November that by the end
of April of this year a fourth hall (Phase 2) would be necesary to
accomodate the increased demand for space. Last week the final ok was
given for an extension of a so called temporarily hard wall climate
controlled tent (Hall D) through a license issued by the local
authorities.
IFTF Expo, which is together with FloraHolland & Horti Fair
founding member of the International HortiWeek, hopes to start as soon
as possible with the execution of the plans. The real starting date will
how ever depend on the moment that sufficient extra exhibition space
will actually be needed. In any case, with the latest developments the
current dimensions of the Expo Hall are not an issue anymore and can
IFTF grow with almost no limitation. Until this moment the current
number of available exhibition meters added up to a total of 16.000
m2's, but with the increased available space it can now grow with 9.000
m2's, to a total of 25.000 m2's.
